Koons is a freelance writer living in Seattle, Washington. She brings to the network extensive experience working with preschoolers, as well as professional writing experience.
As owner and director of a private preschool and kindergarten, Koons has acted as school principal, education director, business administrator, staff and parent mentor, public relations spokesperson and, she adds, “chief bottle washer!” Koons graduated from San Jose State University and holds degrees in Early Childhood Preschool Education, Children's Theater and Business Management. She served as president of her local Chamber of Commerce for fifteen years and has developed an educational consulting website, PreschoolMentor.com, teaching others how to start their own preschools and daycares.
Koons writes, “My hope for this site is that I can infuse my friendly writing style with a sense of humor, making you laugh along the way while you are discovering many wonderful things to do with your preschooler.
