Flour Play

Preschoolers love to help out in the kitchen. However, sometimes you need to work solo. You can still make your preschooler feel like they're helping by creating a little Flour Play.

What You Will Need

Pizza pan, platter, or large shallow dish
Flour
Measuring spoons
Flour sifter

How to Begin Food Fun

In a pizza pan, platter or other shallow dish, pour out enough flour to cover the bottom. Toss in a few measuring spoons, sifter and other interesting utensils and let your preschooler "cook" right along side of you!


No Flour?

If you're all out of flour, you can use sugar. Although, it WILL get a little sticky in your kitchen.

How to Liven It Up

Give your preschooler a couple of sheets of black construction paper and show them how to make handprints on the paper. Also, you can show your preschooler how to draw letters and
