Fill The Piggy

Although this activity is called "Fill the Piggy" - as in piggy bank, you can use any bank you have in the house. My son loves this activity. It's a good activity for your preschooler to do when you only have about 15 minutes available.

How to Do It

Just like the title implies, your preschooler will "fill the piggy". Empty out the contents of the piggy bank. Then, let your preschooler fill it back up, one by one, by placing the coins back into the piggy's slot. It's just that simple, yet it will keep your preschooler entertained and will help them develop motor skills.

How to Liven It Up

Have your preschooler count the coins as they put the coins back into the piggy bank. Be sure to name the different coins, too. It's never too early to learn the differences between quarters and dimes!

My Two Cents

Since money is handled by so many people and is very dirty, be sure to wash your preschooler's hands when their done playing.
